Alistair Clarke

Alistair is a Senior Associate and employment lawyer at DTI Lawyers. Prior to joining DTI, Alistair practiced at a specialist employment firm in Wellington. Following a move back to the Waikato, he worked as an Operations and Human Resources manager in manufacturing.

Alistair’s practical experience provides him with a true appreciation of what a business needs to operate successfully, including the immeasurable benefits of having an engaged workforce. Through this experience, Alistair has developed a passion for working in partnership alongside and advising businesses to help achieve their goals.

Alistair’s expertise includes:

• Advising both employers and employees on the full range of employment law matters, including personal grievances, disciplinary action, performance management, restructures and redundancies.
  
• Advising on employment implications arising from business sales, restraints of trade, confidentiality and intellectual property protection, and privacy issues.
• Drafting and advising on employment agreements, policies and workplace procedures.
  
• Advocacy and dispute resolution, including mediation, Employment Relations Authority investigations, and Employment Court proceedings.
  
• Representing clients in ACC reviews and appeals, and advising on ACC-related employment issues.
