Jaime Lomas is a Director at DTI Lawyers and a highly experienced specialist employment lawyer.
Jaime advises employers, employees, businesses and individuals on a wide range of workplace, regulatory, and dispute resolution matters. She is known for providing pragmatic, commercially focused advice and helping clients navigate complex and often sensitive situations with confidence.
While employment law remains a core focus of her practice, Jaime also has experience in privacy law, human rights claims, tertiary education disputes, and regulatory matters involving the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand. She regularly represents clients in disciplinary and misconduct processes, mediations, employment relationship disputes, privacy complaints, professional conduct matters, Employment Relations Authority proceedings, and Employment Court litigation.
Jaime works closely with businesses of all sizes, from small and medium enterprises through to large organisations, providing strategic advice on employment relations, workplace change, performance management, health and safety, restructures, disciplinary processes, restraints of trade, and compliance obligations. She also advises individuals on employment disputes, discrimination claims, professional discipline matters, and career-impacting workplace issues.
As an experienced advocate, Jaime is recognised for her practical approach and ability to achieve commercially sensible outcomes. She represents clients in mediations and before the Employment Relations Authority and Employment Court.
